Why the Pawrent?
On the picture you see me (Wesley) and Macho. I adopted Macho from Portugal when I was there on a holiday. He was around 10-11 weeks old. He was laying in a crate in the back of a car, there were actually 3 dogs. But when I saw Macho (the smallest one of the 3) I already knew it must be him. Also I thought that he won't last very long since the parents said "you can take all 3" and they looked like they didn't got the best care. Because he was the smallest, he probably didn't get to much to eat because his belly was as big as a balloon. So we decided to take him with us.

For your information, Macho is my first dog. I have to say if I hear the stories about puppies sometimes.. He was quite an easy puppy to raise. It seemed like he was growing with the day. Above you see a picture where he was 6 months old (on the right a big hole he dug haha..). Shortly after this picture, we went back to Portugal. We are always travelling with Macho till this day and he loves the new places and especially swimming. But in Portugal we got news we didn't expect.
This news shocked and made sense at the same time..
The Discovery
So we went to Portugal, and my girlfriend is half Portugese. She went to the beach with a friend and of course, Macho. Susan (the friend) is a veterinarian and she mentioned she wanted to do some checks on Macho since he was not walking how he should (limping), was not sitting straight and couldn't last longer then 20 minutes running at some time. After we did scans, she mentioned he had Arthritis.

He was how she stated it; clearly in pain, was limping, not sitting straight, he couldn't jump on the bed or couch, he was afraid to walk the stairs, after playing with dogs he was limping etc etc.. And I thought this was normal. I was to be honest, really really pissed at myself. But this feeling had to stop and we had to fix it.

Finding the right product
I already let Macho down by not seeing it, I wanted to make sure he got the right products. Susan was mentioning she didn't had 1 product she would give to her own, but gave us something in the meantime. It was white powder called Glucosamine and we also got painkillers when it would get to worse or conditions would turn worse. It became a bit better with the glucosamine, but that stopped already after 1-2 months and it went downhill again.
